I feel bad for not making one of these initially, gah.

Well, hello everyone! My name is Joseph, but I've recently been going by Savestate on various parts of the web. I've been in the zelda modding business on/off for about 8 years now I'd say, but it's very casual. I've done nothing really big, it's mostly messing around, but FINALLY after all these years, I'm in college and hopefully, I'll be able to learn a programming language fully and design some helpful modding programs instead of being the one that uses them.

Before I stumbled across this board (and my LoZ Modding initiative reawoke), I had used ZAP, ZLE, Spinouts tools, UoT (0.9 beta was one of my fav versions because you could edit the vertices of actors), all those oldie/goodies, but the hylian toolbox here has a much better injecting/conversion process than OBJ2AREA. In OBJ2AREA, the colors and textures would be flat and boring, but with the Hylian toolbox, it adds shading and makes custom maps look a LOT more like they're actually from the game. Kudos to all the work put into it.

My ultimate goal here is to eventually design a program that's purposeful and used throughout the community. (once I start the courses though of course!)

In the meantime though, I'm gonna acquaint myself with the hylian toolbox here and get a better understanding of it. Thanks for taking the time to read this!

Welcome to Maco! It's always great when an oldbie returns to the scene.

While the collision conversions in Hylian Toolbox are done by Hylian Toolbox itself, the map mesh conversions are done by Model2N64CHT.exe, an edited version of Model2N64 by xdaniel. B-) Thanks! Quite a lot of work was put into it indeed. B-)

Again, welcome to the community, and I look forward to whatever ideas you come up with.

As some of you may know, I have left the rom editing scene, never to return. I will be attending UNL. I will also be getting a job, so I will not have the time to run a community and make all of these projects.

I'm leaving you all in good hands. Sylux102, one of the best Maco staff members, will be carrying on in my stead. His forums are on Zelda64.net. Register there, since this website is archive only.

As for OoT 2D and Izou, I will be leaving those in the hands of GodsTurf's team, Lunar World. If you are fans of these projects, subscribe to them.
